Russia Developed the First Cancer Vaccine

MRNA वैक्सीन कैसे काम करेगी

  • MRNA यानी मैसेंजर RNA ।
  • यह जेनेटिक कोड का हिस्सा, जो हमारी कोशिकाओं में प्रोटीन बनाता है।
  • कैंसर सेल्स स्वस्थ कोशिकाओं में छिपे होतें है, इसलिए हमारा इम्यून सिस्टम इन्हें पहचान नहीं पाता है। लेकिन, इनके सरफेस के ऊपर विशेष प्रकार का प्रोटीन निकलती हैं, जिन्हें पहचानकर इम्युन सिस्टम इन पर अटैक कर सकता है।
  • MRNA उस प्रोटीन को पहचानकर इम्युन सिस्टम को उसके खिलाफ सक्रिय करती है। इससे शरीर में एंटीजन बनेंगे और इनसे एंटीबॉडी बनेगी, जो कैंसर सेल्स को नष्ट करेंगी।

कौन - कौन देश कैंसर वैक्सीन बना रहे?

ब्रिटिश सरकार जर्मनी की बायोएनटेक के साथ तो अमेरिकी फार्मास्युटिकल कंपनियां e‚डर्ना व मर्क एंड त्वचा कैंसर की वैक्सीन बना रही है। पहले चरण के ट्रायल के नतीजे बतातें है कि तीन साल उपचार से त्वचा कैंसर से मौंत की दर आधी रह गई । यूस सहित 7 देशों ने फेफड़े के कैसर की वैक्सीन का ट्रायल शुरू किया है।

भारत कहां पर है?

  • नेशनल कैंसर रजिस्ट्री प्रोग्राम की रिर्पोट के मुताबिक बीते तीन साल में देश में विभिन्न प्रकार के कैंसर से 23.68 लाख मौंतें हो चुकी हैं। 42 लाख नए केस मिल चुकें है। इनमें अकेले 2022 में ही ।4 लाख नए कैंसर मरीज थे। 9.16 लाख मौतें हुई। यह बीमारी 12 प्रतिशत की दर से बढ़ रही है।
  • देश में अभी एक ही कैंसर वैक्सीन उपलब्ध है। इसे सीरम इंस्टीट्यूट ऑफ इंडिया में तैयार किया जा रहा है। यह सर्वाइकल कैंसर रोकने में कारगर है।
  • भारत के पास सर्वाइकल कैंसर की स्वदेशी वैक्सीन ही मौजूद है।
  • देश में हर साल करीब 70 हजार महिलाएं इस कैंसर से जान गंवा देती है।
  • देश में 9 से 14 साल की बच्चियों को अगले तीन साल में स्कूलों में यह वैक्सीन लगाई जानी है।
  • इसकी एक खुराक 3 से 4 हजार रू की है, लेकिन स्कूलों में इसे फ्री लगाया जा रहा है।
