The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) Group-D exam is one of the most sought-after exams for candidates aspiring to secure a job in the Indian Railways. It offers a wide range of opportunities for individuals who wish to be part of India’s largest public sector employer. The RRB Group-D exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for various posts in Indian Railways, such as Track Maintainers, Helpers, Assistant Pointsmen, and other technical and non-technical roles.

Qualification: Candidates who have passed class 10 (High school) and have a National Apprenticeship certificate (NAC) granted by the National council for vocational Training can also apply. Candidates who have passed class 10 and IIT are also eligible for the exam.

Age Limit: The Candidates who fall in the age group of 18 to 33 years are eligible to apply for RRB Group D exam. Age relaxation is provided as per the norms.

  • SC – ST Category Candidates get five years relaxation in the maximum age limit.
  • OBC, General Category candidates get three years relaxation in the maximum age limit.

RRB Group D physical Efficiency Test (PET) (Male candidate)
To Qualify, male candidates must lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 meters within 2 minutes without dropping it. They must also complete a 1000 – meter run in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET)(Female Candidate)
You should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in two minutes without stopping. In a single attempt, you Should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

Is a good height required for the RRB Group D 2025 exam?
Male Candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm and Female candidates must have a minimum height of 155 cm.
