Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) releases RRB Group D notification 2025. The RRB has announced 32,438 vacancies for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025. These Positions include Assistant pointsman, Track Maintainer (Grade IV), and Assistants in Technical departments like Electrical, Mechanical, and S&T.

What is the exam pattern for Railway Group D vacancy 2025?

The computer-Based Test (CBT) for RRB Group D evaluates candidates in four main sections: General science, Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, and General Awareness along with current affairs. This test spans a duration of 90 minutes.

What is Group D qualification?

The age limit for RRB Group D 2025 exam is 18 to 33 years. Candidates who have passed class 10 (High school) and have a National Apprenticeship certificate (NAC) granted by the National Council for Vocational Training can also apply. Candidates who have passed class 10 and IIT are also eligible for the exam.

RRB Group D Age limit (as on 01/07/2025)

The Candidates who fall in the age group of 18 to 33 years are eligible to apply for RRB Group D exam. Age relaxation is provided as per the norms:

  • SC – ST Category Candidates get five years relaxation in the maximum age limit.
  • OBC, General Category candidates get three years relaxation in the maximum age limit.

How to Apply for RRB Group D Recruitment 2025?

  1. Visit the official website of RRBs http://www.rrbcdg.gov.in/.
  2. Click on ‘New Registration’ and fill in basic details (Name, date of birth, Aadhar Number, Mobile Number, email ID, etc.).
  3. Verify your email ID and Mobile Number using the OTP.
  4. Log in using your registration number and password.
  5. Enter the required details and select your preference for posts.
  6. Pay the application fee via Net Banking, Credit/debit card. UPI, offline challan.
  7. Select your preferred exam language.
  8. Provide details of a valid photo ID Card.
  9. Add bank Account details for fee refund (If applicable).
  10. Upload your photo, and signature, and for SC/ ST Candidates, upload category certificates.
  11. Accept the terms and conditions.
  12. Double check details and submit the form.

RRB Group D Application Fee 2025

RRB Group D application form should be filled online only. The application fee is INR 500 (for all candidates except those in the fee concession categories). The fee for PWBD/Female/Transgender/Ex-Serviceman/SC/ST/Minority Communities/Economically Backward class is INR 250. Candidates are not required to send the hard copy of the application form.

Refund amount (On appearing for CBT):

  • For General OBC: Rs. 400
  • For ST/SC/EBC/Female/Transgender: Rs. 250

RRB Group D Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

Male Candidate

To qualify, male candidates must lift and carry 35 kg of weight for 100 meters within 2 minutes without dropping it. They must also complete a 1000-meter run in 4 minutes and 15 seconds.

Female Candidate

You should be able to lift and carry 20 kg of weight for 100 meters in two minutes without stopping. In a single attempt, you should be able to run 1000 meters in 5 minutes and 40 seconds.

Is a good height required for the RRB Group D 2025 exam?

Male candidates must have a minimum height of 165 cm and female candidates must have a minimum height of 155 cm.

RRB Group D Salary

The monthly salary for RRB Group D employees is around Rs. 28,512, which includes the basic pay, Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), and Travel Allowance (TA). The in-hand salary is typically between Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 28,000 with the basic pay set at Rs. 18,000.
