IES (Indian Engineering Services) Coaching Institute in Ranchi, Jharkhand

IES combined competitive examination conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) in India. IES is conducted to recruit candidates for various engineering positions in the government sector of India, including the Indian Railways, Central Engineering Services, Central Water Engineering, Telecommunications, etc.

The engineering disciplines for which the IES exam is conducted are as follows:

  1. Civil Engineering
  2. Mechanical Engineering
  3. Electrical Engineering
  4. Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering

The IES exam is conducted in three stages:

  1. Preliminary Exam: The preliminary exam is a screening test that consists of two objective-type papers - General Studies and Engineering Aptitude. Candidates who qualify the preliminary exam can appear for the main exam.
  2. Main Exam: The main exam consists of two subjective papers in the respective engineering discipline. Candidates who qualify the main exam are called for the interview round.
  3. Interview: The interview round is the final stage of the IES exam. Candidates who clear the interview round are selected for the various engineering positions in the government sector.

Eligibility Criteria for IES Exam

Educational Qualification: Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology from a recognized university. Final year engineering students can also apply.

Age Limit: Candidates must be between 21 to 30 years of age as on August 1 of the exam year. Age relaxation is applicable for certain categories as per government rules.
